Corso....
...my name is Americo Scala...i would love to introduce you my amateur breeding of Cane Corso a breed "new but ancient"
In the 2000 I had a journey to Rome i met for the first time with my eyes the beauty and the power of this dog breed that i could only see on the magazines in the past....i could not believe to my eyes, i have always loved dogs large breed, big size, but the big strong dog that was in front of me it give me something more....i was concentrated on him and i could feel the power and the elegance that i have never seen before in a dog.
Since that day i decided that i must have a Cane Corso, i started my research, book, magazines, internet, i needed as much information i can collect, every day more and more. Everything has been written on this dog breed was in my diary. There was only a little step between me and a puppy....the area....a garden was all i needed before to adopt a puppy. I could not have a dog of this size in a flat, so  i had a huge present from my dear grandparents....part of theyr land.....and old traditional garden with lots of lemon oranges and olives threes very quiet very well kept from my uncle Raffaele. Step by step i was closer to the fantastic world of Cane Corso my dream becoming true....

History....

About the name "Cane Corso" the hypothesis on the origin are few. A dog called Corso was ceryainly present in the middle age time, the easyest explanation is that it comes from "cors" means "Corsica" so a dog that comes from that island.
Other people say that the name comes from an old word with the meaning of "rude, rustic". Someone think that the origin comes from the latin word "cohors" or "cors", so courtyard or a part of a legion, in a way to say dog of the courtyard of the legionary. "Cohors" mean also farm, fencing in a few words a dog at the guard of the farms.
